Santander Consumer USA contributing to our communities

SantanderHere at Santander Consumer USA, we are grateful to have customers we believe are the best in the world, and we are proud to give to the communities in which we operate in ways that are relevant and carefully considered.

That’s why we have partnered, during this holiday season, with toy drives and virtual food banks in Dallas and Denver, the places that we call home. And year-round, we are proud to partner with the American Heart Association, whose Dallas office coordinates events both here and nationwide.

In Dallas, our company and individual employees are contributing money to the North Texas Food Bank, an eco-friendly and cost-efficient way to provide three meals to hungry participants for only $1. Additionally, we give to the Texas Toy Drive, which benefits children and families at One Safe Place of Dallas.

In Denver, we are contributing to the Food Bank of the Rockies, where 96 cents of every dollar go to the food-distribution program. We also are giving to the Colorado Toy Drive, which this year benefits Safe House Denver, a facility that provides free shelter and counseling services to families and individuals in need.

And Santander Consumer USA maintains a longstanding relationship with the Dallas-based American Heart Association. This year, our employees participated in the Heart Walk, which raised a total of more than $5 million dollars to fund research into heart trauma conditions and events, including heart attacks and strokes.

But that’s not all. We’ll also be involved with Heart Association fund-raising in 2014.

In February, there will be Go Red Luncheon events in Dallas and Denton to raise awareness of heart disease among women. Additionally, Vestido Rojo, a conference and luncheon held in April will focus on women of the Latino community of Dallas. And in March, the AHA will host a series of gourmet-themed events, culminating in the Côtes du Coeur, a formal gala event to raise funds for the year.

Santander Consumer USA is proud to be a part of all of these Heart Association events, and more importantly, the research and education that help fight heart disease.
