Trucks lead way among top-selling vehicles of 2013

2013-Best-Selling-Vehicles

The race isn’t over yet, but U.S. automakers are nearing the finish line on 2013 sales. So it seems a good time to take a look at the top-selling vehicles of the year – chances are that not a lot will change among the top seven or eight, at least.

As our infographic shows, America kept on trucking in 2013, lifting pickups – the Ford F-Series, Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the Ram 1500 – to three of the top five positions, according to data from motorintelligence.com reported online at wsj.com (Wall Street Journal). Sales of the three truck brands also grew at a faster rate than any of the cars on the top-sellers list.

Cars ranking highest on the list are the Toyota Camry at No. 3 and the Honda Accord at No. 4.

Other vehicles on the top 10 list are, in order through October, the Honda Civic (6), Nissan Altima (7), Toyota Corolla (8), Honda CR-V (9) and Ford Escape (10). Besides the trucks, vehicles showing the fasted growth so far this year are the Escape SUV and the Accord, Civic and CR-V crossover.
